Renault R30

The car next season, called Renault R30, will learn from this season. The engineering department has incorporated the two major regulatory changes in 2010, namely a large tank due to fuel supplies allowed, and the front tires closer. Then, Renault has chosen a very different aerodynamic concept. The R30 is equipped with a nose longer and diving, and a front lot more complex than the R29. Finally, the position of center of gravity of the chassis has been shifted forward to better exploit the tires

Lotus Exige 265E

Key to this performance is a slightly modified version of the 2ZZ VVTL-i supercharged and intercooled high revving 4-cylinder engine from the standard Lotus Exige S. This now gives an estimated set of performance figures that would thrash the majority of “Super-Unleaded” performance cars: 0-60 mph in 3.88 seconds, 0-100 mph in 9.2 seconds and a top speed of 158 mph! In fact, the Lotus Exige 265E is probably the world’s quickest road-legal E85 bio-ethanol car.

Monoposto Spider Race Car

Ex-Al Leake 1957 Giulietta Spider ‘Monoposto’ 1495*02646, Engine 00106*00512. This is a pretty serious purpose-built race car and it is available right now from Fantasy Junction. Click on the link if for no other reason than to look at the 50 or so pictures provided. No price is stated but Sophia, his most often raced Giulietta Spider made about $75,000 on eBay last winter so you can bet that this car will be at least that much.
