Transit Connect has been well received and has made very good sales it its first month since it has been released in the market. According to Ford it has sold more than 2000 units of the Ford Transit Connect in the last month.
The sales for the Transit Connect of more than 2000 units last August, outperforming Ford initial projections for the vehicle. The main buyers of the Transit Connect were fleet buyers, but it has also made good sales with the small business owners that would like to save up on fuel bills.
The Ford Transit Connect puts out 22 mpg in the city and reaches about 25 mpg in the highway, with a combined rating of 23 mpg on regular gas. Not bad for van big enough to put all your stuff in.
The Transit Connect is now being built in Turkey, but there is news that production will be shifted to the United
States come 2012. Ford is also planning to put out an all-electric version of the Transit Connect and a passenger version intended for families. So expect the Ford Transit Connect to make more sales in the next couple of years.
